Esi Eggleston Bracey Exits Unilever, Leaving a Legacy of Inclusive Marketing and Billion-Dollar Brands. #FrizeMedia https://buff.ly/wOXMqkz

Esi Eggleston Bracey's departure from Unilever at the end of January 2026 concludes an eight-year tenure marked by significant transformation.

Appointed Chief Growth and Marketing Officer in 2023, she led the company's marketing modernization during a period of major industry change, driving digital-first strategies and pioneering purpose-led initiatives such as Dove's support for the CROWN Act to combat race-based hair discrimination. Under her leadership, Unilever's Beauty & Personal Care division reportedly doubled its growth rate and exceeded financial targets.

Her contributions were recognized with her induction into the 2026 Advertising Hall of Fame class, and she leaves as the company enters a new phase of structural evolution.

This leadership transition signals a strategic shift in Unilever's marketing operations, with Leandro Barreto expanding his role from Chief Marketing Officer for the Beauty & Wellbeing Business Group to become the enterprise-wide Chief Marketing Officer from January 1, 2026. Notably, the company has confirmed that Bracey's Chief Growth and Marketing Officer title will not be directly replaced.

This change is designed to integrate marketing strategy more deeply within Unilever's Business Groups to accelerate impact and execution. Barreto, a Unilever veteran with over 20 years of experience known for disruptive creativity, is tasked with connecting long-term brand-building with Business Group execution, directly supporting CEO Fernando Fernandez's vision to build a "true marketing and sales machine" by accelerating desire at scale.

As the Consegna de Beauty & Wellbeing and Personal Care, and a key driver of Unilever's diversity and brand-purpose initiatives, her departure is a significant executive change.

Congratulations, Esi Eggleston Bracey! We wish you great success and good luck in your exciting new chapter. — The FrizeMedia Team
