In a move that signals a significant strategic pivot, Apple has chosen to partner with its long-time rival Google in a multi-year agreement to integrate Google’s Gemini AI models and cloud infrastructure.
This landmark deal will provide the foundational technology for Apple’s next-generation “Apple Intelligence” ecosystem, most notably powering a transformative update to Siri.
The collaboration marks a departure from Apple’s typical reliance on in-house development and positions Google’s AI as the engine for a suite of new, more capable, and deeply personalized features set to debut across Apple devices, beginning later this year.
