Fortuna Mining has taken a decisive step toward expanding its Séguéla Gold Mine in Côte d’Ivoire by appointing Lycopodium Minerals Canada to conduct a formal engineering study. This strategic move marks a significant phase in advancing the project beyond its initial operational parameters.

The study will specifically focus on evaluating options to increase the processing plant's throughput capacity and optimize its metallurgical performance, laying the technical groundwork for a potential production expansion.

This initiative is driven by the goal of unlocking additional production potential from the Séguéla asset, aiming to enhance the mine's overall output and operational efficiency. By systematically assessing the plant's capabilities and constraints, the study will provide a clear pathway to potentially scale operations, thereby seeking to improve the project's economics and extend its value.

The engagement of a seasoned firm like Lycopodium underscores Fortuna’s commitment to methodically evaluating this growth opportunity to maximize returns from its West African gold operation.

"This study is a critical step in fully unlocking Séguéla's potential," said Fortuna President and CEO Jorge A. Ganoza. "We selected Lycopodium based on their deep site knowledge and proven ability to deliver practical, innovative solutions."
